Did They Transform Their Teaching Practices? A Case Study on Evaluating Professional Development Webinars Offered to Language Teachers during COVID-19

Professional development webinars became very common in higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following a case-study research methodology, this study explored potential of professional offered to university language teachers transforming their online pedagogies. A focus group discussion with four was conducted. They attended several pandemic on pedagogy, teaching platforms and course management systems, assessment skills. Using transformative learning theory as theoretical lens for data analysis, results revealed that enabled resolve some misconceptions about learning, enhanced critical reflection practices formed new pedagogy. The provided implications enhance webinars.
